Girls Weekend!

My mom, my Aunt Becky, Gram, Amy and her girls and Audrey Grace and I had a girls weekend in Huntsville. My aunt recently moved to Huntsville, so it was exciting to go somewhere "new". As always, we had such a great time together. It is never long enough though. I am sure Becky and Jeff don't feel that way. We bombarded them with 8 guests (women) in their home. Big Thank You to Jeff for putting up with all of us women! Thanks to Becky too for having us. It is too hard to go anywhere with that many people, so we mainly just "together time". We did go for a walk Saturday morning and took a trip to Target that afternoon.
These days it is so fun to watch Laura Lea and Audrey Grace interact. Audrey Grace loves to watch busy bee Laura Lea. She will smile at her and talk to her but if Laura Lea gets in Audrey Grace's space she gets mad! It is so funny how she is such a drama queen. Laura Lea is really sweet to her and just wants to play. As any 20 month old can, she just gets a little wild and Audrey Grace is unsure of this. As soon as Audrey Grace starts walking they will be non stop! Thank goodness we have such wonderful helpers, Lores and Lucy!

Happy Valentine's Day

Audrey Grace celebrated her first Valentine's Day with the flu. It was pitiful. We woke up Valentine's morning and everything was fine. I tried to have a photo shoot with her but she wasn't really smiling for me. I just thought she was over me being in her face trying to make her smile at the right moment. We went thru our normal morning routine and I took her to school. We got a call from the daycare after lunch and they told us Audrey Grace had a fever of 101.4. Of course this was also my first day of work, well my first day to see patients. Oh well, I had to get to my baby. We went straight to the doctor. She had to have a chest xray and a flu test. Well, the flu test was positive. Since there is nothing to give a child under age 1, we had to let it run its course. We were lucky, it could have been a lot worse. Her fever did get up to 103.4 one time but once I got it broken, it didn't come back. She was pitiful for Monday and Tuesday. By Wednesday she was pretty much back to her happy self. She has never been one to want to be held and cuddled but she was for these 2 days. I soaked it up! I felt bad for her but loved that she wanted me to hold her and love on her. She actually slept in my arms which never happens.

Valentine's morning. Looking back, I can look at her and tell she doesn't feel good.

Sleeping while we patiently wait to see Dr. Smith.

This might be cruel, but I wanted to share how awful a chest xray is for an infant.

Happy 1st Birthday Huck

Sister Dru and Huck

Uncle Huck getting ready to "attack"! He loves to touch her and she cannot stand it when he does.

She is checking out his cake!

YUM!!

Didn't get too messy! He had enough and pushed the cake on the floor!

Finally we got a snow day!

Mississippi has had some crazy weather this January and Febuary. We have had 3 ice and snow storms. Of course we only got ice the first go round, nothing the second and finally the third time we got a little snow! So Audrey Grace finally got to have her first snow day! She was not real impressed...

I love this picture! She literally looked around like this for 5 minutes.

This picture was taken right after she fell face first in the snow! She finally decided she would touch whatever it was we had her sitting in. She was so top heavy from all the clothes I had on her, she fell face first.

Miller thought it was great!

Ryan loves his baby girl

Such a sweet baby girl! It is funny how we get so excited about the smallest things when you get to share it with your child. Maybe next year we will get another snow so we can really play in it with her. We do have a hill in our backyard and we sled down it, but she could have cared less. She didn't cry, but didn't smile or laugh either. She just could not figure out what was going on!

Audrey Grace wait a minute...

You just learned to crawl (on all fours) 2 weeks ago. You still don't go but about 5-6 steps and then want to pull yourself and now you want to stand? I am still in shock at what I witnessed tonight. Audrey Grace crawled over to the coffee table and pulled herself up to her knees. I thought WOW look at that, then she held on and stood up! I could not believe it. I was trying to get Ryan's attention (he was on the phone) and he was like what? what's the big deal? I said oh my gosh did you see that? He said yeah, she did it earlier when you were in the other room. Does he not know these things are milestones and you must holler and scream!!! I thought she would at least crawl around for a month or so before she would figure out that she could pull up on things. Of course as soon as she stood up she tried to be "too big" and grab for something and fell over. It broke her heart and mine too. I think I am more heartbroken that she is growing up too fast. I was just thinking this weekend that she will be a year old in 3 and 1/2 months! The time has gone by way too fast. With all of the changes we have had since she was born, I feel like I have missed her growing up, but really I haven't. The time just really goes by that fast. I cannot thank God enough for giving us this precious gift. I am really enjoying the stage she is in now. Even though she is crawling, she really doesn't try to go far. She likes to be where we are. She is so sweet and smiles all the time. She is partial to me and you know I am loving that. She loves to play on the floor with ALL of her toys. She goes from toy to toy. She really doesn't have a favorite. She loves for Miller to lay right beside her so she can laugh at him and pull his tail. Actually, I shouldn't say she doesn't have a favorite toy because she does, Miller's bone. She can find it anywhere and you know it goes straight to her mouth. Miller may have to do without bones for a few months until the "everything to the mouth" obsession is over.

Screened porch. I think we will spend a lot of time out here when the weather is nice. Plus, it has a door to lock AG in!!

Happy Birthday Tommy

Ryan and I went to Tupelo last weekend to help our friend Tommy Ethridge celebrate his 30th birthday! We had so much fun. We have not been out like that in so long. We had some much needed fun with our friends. We left Audrey Grace for the whole weekend! My Aunt Joyce, Uncle Gary, Grandma and Grandpa kept her in Jackson. My sister and her 3 girls came to Jackson to spend Saturday night with them too. I left my video camera and asked for pictures...I got 2 pictures! Oh well I can only imagine how busy the house was with a 8 month old, 18 month old, 6 year old, 9 year old and 5 adults!

Ryan and I went to Southaven Friday night to pack up half our house to move into our new rental house! Packing is so not fun, but to finally be in "our own home" again makes it all worth it. We packed half the day Saturday and then went to Tupelo to begin the celebration!

My pictures got out of order...
Don't they look so handsome all dressed up!

Lucy and AG

Laura Lea and AG...they are going to be best friends and into everything together in only a few short months!!
