Yay for Spring!

As most all of you know, the weather has been absolutely beautiful lately. Sunny and low 80's! I have always loved this time of year but I am loving it even more with Audrey Grace. I love to go outside and get on the blanket with her and play, go strolling and swinging in the swing. We don't have our own swing yet, but we borrow the neighbor's or go to the park down the street. I have been trying to have a photo shoot with Audrey Grace, but she is not interested. She will hardly even look at me when I pull the camera out. I can act crazy, talk funny, make faces, play peek a boo, but it doesn't matter, she will not crack a smile. As soon as I put the camera up, she is all smiles. I am trying to catch her in action of pulling up, but as soon as she sees the video camera, she stops. Here are some of the pictures of the photo shoot we had Monday in our yard.

I could just squeeze her

I think I have already posted this, but I am really enjoying her at this stage. She is stuck on her schedule and can get testy if we mess it up, but overall she is a good baby. Personally, I love that she is on such a schedule. She has the cutest little personality and smiles and laughs all the time. We will be riding down the road and she will laugh out loud at herself. This is probably my favorite sound to hear these days. She loves to squint her nose up and smile at everybody. Well, most everybody. Sometimes she just stares and studies people for a minute and then she will smile and talk to them. She is a busy bee and into anything she can get a hold of, but I love it!

Audrey Grace and her new friend, Frances

Ryan and I went to Orange Beach last weekend for a long weekend to celebrate our Anniversary and birthdays! It was so wonderful to get away just the two of us. Annie kept Audrey Grace while we were gone. We missed our sweet girl so much and talked about her most of the time. We enjoyed our together time by going out to eat for every meal, seeing Zac Brown Band, soaking up the sun and shopping at the outlet mall.
Since we had been on vacation for 3 nights, Ryan needed to get his "grill out fix" on Sunday. Our neighbors, Katie and Neal Ferrell came over with their 9 month old, Frances. I have no pictures from our trip, but did get some of Audrey Grace and Frances playing.

Frances LOVES the camera. When you look at her with it she smiles and laughes so big! It is too cute.

9 month check up

Audrey Grace had her 9 month check up on Tuesday. She got an A+ from Dr. Smith. She is healthy and growing and developing as she should. She weighs 22 lbs 2 oz and is 31 inches long, 95th percentile for both! I have already done a post on her being 9 months, so I won't repeat. Dr. Smith said we could go ahead and introduce whole milk! YEA!! I am so excited about this news. I am going to start next week with the milk and some human solid (soft) foods. I will keep you posted on how this transition goes. Another milestone, bitter sweet!

Finally, A TOOTH!!!

Audrey Grace is 9 months old with no teeth! Not now! I haven't been concerned, just anxious for her to get one. I don't know why because I really don't want her growing up too fast. I have been feeling in her mouth and saying she was teething since she was 3 months old. I finally have proof! She absolutely hates for you to look in her mouth but she will let you feel. Saturday night she woke up screaming about 9 pm. This is soooo not like her. I went to check on her immediately because like I said she doesn't do that. She could not get situated and kept fussing so I picked her up and she just laid on me. I know she doesn't feel good when she does that. I gave her some Tylenol and wondered if maybe her ear hurt. Sunday morning I thought maybe that was all due to a tooth! I felt around and sure enough you could feel a tooth just coming thru. She fought me, so I could never look very good. Today I felt again and you can feel it even better! I got to look too. It is just barely popping thru but in a couple of days I bet you will be able to see it. I will try to get a picture then. It is so fun to see all the changes. Sad, but fun. She is pulling up on everything now. Tonight she started in the bathtub...that really scares me. She has bumped her mouth and her head so many times already. It breaks her heart every time! She has 2 toys that she can pull up on and stand to play with that she loves. I guess she is only human, you learn a new trick and it is all you want to do. I will try to get some pictures of her since I haven't posted any of her standing up.

Sick Again...

The weekend before last, when the weather was so beautiful and warm, we were outside all day Saturday and a lot Sunday. Audrey Grace started with a cough late Sunday afternoon and by Monday she sounded pretty rough. Not really congested but wheezy. I thought it must be allergies like everyone else is having this time of year. Luckily, we had a follow up from the flu already scheduled (on my birthday!). Well, Happy Birthday to me...Audrey Grace had a awful right ear infection and bronchilitis. Poor baby! She never pulled on her ear, ran fever, quit eating or sleeping, so how was I to know it was that bad? I felt so bad, but we got her fixed up. She got another shot of Rocephin, a new antibiotic (Biaxin) and albuterol breathing treatments 3 times a day. She handled most of it so well and hardly even cried with the shot. I guess she is getting used to them :(. She was not a fan of the breathing treatment in the office, but at home she has taken them with ease. Her cough was gone within a few days, but we are supposed to do the treatments until we see her again on the 17th. Ugh...

9 months old

Oh my goodness, my baby is 9 months old! I know I say it all the time but I really cannot believe how fast the time has gone. I really should have done an 8 month post too, but again, where does the time go? At 9 months old, Audrey Grace is on the move. She is crawling everywhere but really doesn't try to go to far away from us. She is pulling herself up but usually she only gets to her knees and she is satisfied with that for now. She loves to crawl over things, like me if I am on the floor and Miller. She really enjoys to get in her Jenny Jumper. She just bounces like a little bunny rabbit. She is still the best sleeper (except at daycare). If we are home she takes 2 naps and is down for the night at 7 and sleeps until 7. She loves to be in her bed. She plays her self to sleep and wakes up playing. She moves from one end of the bed to the other talking and playing with her stuffed animals and blankets. Ryan and I love to watch her on the monitor when she does this. She still really doesn't have a favorite toy, she loves to go from toy to toy. She is still eating baby food. She eats breakfast, lunch and dinner and usually has 4 bottles a day. I dread taking the bottle away. She LOVES it. She likes her baby food and is a good eater but that bottle is her favorite. Carrots are still her favorite along with any fruit. Her bath and bedtime are her favorite part of the day, I think. She absolutely loves to take a bath. Then I get her dressed for bed, she has a bottle and when I lay her down she just smiles and kicks. She is still taking a paci. I may wish I had taken it away, but I had one until I was 5 and I turned out ok so it won't hurt a little longer. She still loves to hear her voice. She talks and makes the indian noise all the time. She likes her routine and can get testy when it is interrupted but overall is a pretty happy baby.
